A new show is opening on December 4th at the Indigo Gallery, 74 Allen St. The show is called “Winter” and has four new 8″ x 10″ small works of mine on the subject of Buffalo my home town. I have taken photos of some great old buildings in Buffalo and combined them in collages with acrylic and found papers. I do not usually use Buffalo as my subject matter so this is a rare opportunity to get one of my originals with the city I call home included in them. A great gift for someone who loves my work but also loves the city I call home. I will be at the openinmg so hope to see you there!

I have been working hard these past few weeks on small works of art to sell in Xmas gift shows at local Buffalo galleries. These types of shows can be fun. I love to work large and have space to paint and add collage. So when I work on these 5″ x 7″ small paintings it is a big challenge. The scale of images have to be small and yet work as a whole composition. This can be hard for me if I do not lay out the design first in pencil. I then start to layer pieces of collage into the paint adding just enough so its not overworked. When working a white matt put over the piece helps me not to add too much. I am still interested in graffiti and try to include type or lettering in the work . Hope you get a chance to come and see my more than 10 new works in this show. It runs until Dec 30th.
