“I Am The Man”…

I am starting a new set of works to add to my recent “Graffiti “series of mixed media paintings. I saw this guy on a wall in Florence, Italy while exploring a back alley. I fell in love with him immediately and will be using him as my main subject matter in my next 24″ x 24″ painting on canvas and board. I will be changing the background wall color a bit as not crazy about the brown. Also will add more graffiti to him and wall will be longer carrying the design more across the work. I like the idea of him “braking out” from the wall and will play this up with textures and also some wall fragments made out of plaster. I will post final work mid August on my website and hope in the future to show these graffiti works together in a gallery exhibition. Four of my works will appear next in a exhibition at Northern Kentucky University Art Gallery in Highland Hts, Kentucky Aug. 23 – Sept. 24th. Opening reception August 26th. I will post times and link on my exhibitions page and also all upcoming showt his fall.
